A Few DIY Baby Plans…

We’re getting so excited about the arrival of our baby!  And I’m getting excited about all of my DIY plans for baby.  It’s also extra fun now that we know we’re planning for a boy!  Below are a few great DIY baby tutorials that I am planning on testing out.

Hooded Baby Towels – There’s nothing cuter than a naked babe wrapped in an adorable hooded towel.  Check out this adorable tutorial from Sew4Home.

Baby Wrap – Perfect for a hands free hold on baby!  Here’s a simple tutorial from A Load of Craft.

Shopping Cart Cover – Call me a germ freak, but I think this is way softer, safer and more fun than an uncovered shopping cart seat.  Here’s a tutorial for a reversible shopping cart from lil blue boo that even has a place to hold toys.  Brilliant!

Fitted Crib Sheets – When I started planning the nursery, I was a little disappointed in the crib sheet options available at the store, so I started looking for options to make my own.  When I found this tutorial by Dana from made, I had the same ‘duh’ moment that she did.  I realized this would be a simple DIY project and would be much cheaper than cute crib sheets from the store.

Changing Pad Cover – Once I realized how simple fitted crib sheets looked, I thought I would see what I could find to make my own changing pad cover.  This tutorial from Prudent Baby is the perfect starting place!

Plush Block Toys – I am bound and determined not to have our house overrun by noisy, plastic toys (although I’m sure we will have more than our fair share), so I’ve been looking for some cute DIY toy options for baby.  Check out these adorable plush blocks from Wren Handmade – a great use of fabric scraps!
